A new Solar Energy Week has brought practical photovoltaic training to three vocational colleges in Georgia, continuing the expansion of hands-on solar education within the country’s vocational training system.

The programme began at College Spectri and continued at Mermisi College and Ilia Tsinamdzghvrishvili College.

During the training sessions, participants worked directly with photovoltaic equipment and completed a range of practical measurement and installation exercises using a dedicated PV training system.

The programme also introduced participants to K2 Base, the photovoltaic planning software developed by K2 Systems. Working with the software allowed students to become familiar with an important part of the planning process for real PV installations and to connect practical installation exercises with system design.

The Solar Energy Week combined technical instruction with hands-on learning, helping vocational students strengthen their understanding of photovoltaic systems and gain practical experience relevant to future work in the solar energy sector.

The programme was implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and with the support of International Innovative Technologies / EUROSOLAR Georgia.

The training forms part of the continuing effort to strengthen practical solar education and renewable energy skills across Georgia’s vocational colleges.
