We are thrilled to announce the latest solar training courses at Akhali Talga College in Kobuleti, Georgia, under the ongoing collaboration with EUROSOLAR Georgia and the Eberhard-Schöck Foundation. This latest series of practical and theoretical seminars is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of solar power system design, installation, and maintenance.
On April 4-5, 2025, Akhali Talga College will host a two-day seminar focusing on the fundamentals of solar energy systems. The seminar includes a variety of hands-on exercises using real-world systems and training stands, as well as in-depth theoretical sessions covering the entire process—from photovoltaic module technologies to installation methods and system maintenance.
Key seminar highlights include:
- Comprehensive lectures on photovoltaic history, system components, and installation techniques.
- Hands-on training with solar modules, inverters, and wiring.
- Practical exercises involving real-life scenarios and troubleshooting methods, such as shadow impact and system maintenance.
- Solar power system review and measurement with a 5 kW solar system installed on the college’s rooftop.
Participants will also work with the K2 Base platform to design and calculate solar projects, strengthening their skills and knowledge of this vital renewable energy technology.
This initiative is part of a larger push to foster renewable energy education in Georgia and beyond, with a goal to create a skilled workforce capable of supporting the global energy transition.
